Martín Alfonso Mejía, the mayor of Calima Darien in Colombia, has caused controversy after a video emerged of him dancing nearly naked at a nightclub. The video has gone viral on social media, with many shocked by the behaviour of the local leader.
Mejía can be seen in the video stripping down and gyrating, sometimes in view of young women.
The footage is NSFW, and at one point Mejía’s trousers slip down and his bare buttocks are exposed.
The video has sparked outrage in some quarters, with calls for Mejía to resign. He has not yet commented on the video, and it is unclear whether he will face probe for his actions.
