Tragedy struck in St. Petersburg, Florida, when a 20-year-old mother was found dead in her apartment, and just hours later, her two-year-old son was found dead inside an alligator’s mouth.
Taylen Mosley was reported missing after his mother, Pashun Jeffery, was found dead with stab wounds. Taylen’s body was found in Dell Holmes Park, 10 miles from his mother’s home, inside an alligator’s mouth.
Police confirmed that it was the boy after killing the animal. Taylen’s cause of death is yet to be determined by the medical examiner.
The father, Thomas Mosley, had checked himself into the hospital with cuts on his hands and arms but refused to talk to investigators.
According to the police chief, 21-year-old Thomas Mosley murdered his own child along with the boy’s mother, and he has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
The alligator was later euthanized.
