During a recent interview with Beat 99.9FM, Davido, a popular Nigerian star artist, also known as David Adeleke, expressed his views on the 2023 election in Nigeria.
He stated that he did not consider the election to be credible due to various reasons which he did not elaborate on.
He also mentioned that if he was active on social media, he would have been vocal about the election.
He further shared that he was happy about the low turnout of voters, as the safety of the citizens is paramount.
He expressed his concern that the election was not conducted in a credible manner and given the importance of a free and fair election to democracy, he could not hide his feelings on this.
Davido is known for his active involvement in politics, especially during the 2019 election when he openly endorsed a candidate.
Also, the artist recently dropped his album, Timeless, which gained over a million streams in six hours after it was released.
