Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has spoken up about why he did not vote for Atiku Abubakar as the PDP’s presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.
George revealed that the reason for his decision was because the PDP did not accommodate people from his region in the party’s top leadership position.
He stated that he was unable to convince his people to work for a party or candidate who did not recognize them.
According to George, efforts were made to bring the PDP leadership’s attention to the issue before the election but were disregarded.
George made it clear that he could not be accused of any form of anti-party activities.
He also criticized the PDP’s 2023 governorship candidate, Olajide Adeniran (Jandor), for not working with the party chieftains and failing to properly handle the normal tenets, routes, and expectations of the party’s candidate.
