Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has stated that he has not withdrawn his court case against Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
Abubakar has continued to challenge the legitimacy of the election and claims that nothing will make him validate the outcome. He issued a statement refuting a fake press release that claimed he had accepted the results of the election.
He confirmed that his lawyers remain mandated to challenge the outcome of the election alongside the PDP, adding that his commitment to the democratic struggle in Nigeria extends beyond election season.
Meanwhile, Atiku’s special assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, has criticised the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, over his statement accusing the opposition of planning to truncate democracy.
Shaibu described Keyamo’s statement with terrible words and accused him of abandoning his primary job as a minister to be the spokesperson for Tinubu’s campaign organisation after the polls.
