Is There No Igbo Man Strong Enough to be APC Presidential Candidate? – Ayo Adebanjo asks
The Afenifere leader, Ayo Adebanjo, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of failing to produce a presidential candidate from the South-East geopolitical zone in the 2019 general election.
Adebanjo, who was speaking in an exclusive interview with Nigerian Tribune Newspaper, noted that the ruling party had already chosen the Southwest before any of the political parties’ primaries.
He questioned why the APC could not find an Igbo man strong enough to be its presidential candidate.
Adebanjo also questioned why the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could not find an Igbo man for its presidential candidate.

He accused both parties of pretending to be working for all Nigerians. This is yet another indication of the marginalization of the South-East region in Nigerian politics.
