“We’ve arrested supects”: Police speaks on killers of ex-CBN staff, wife, son

The Ogun State Police Command has announced the arrest of suspects in connection with the murder of a former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) staff and his family. Kehinde Fatinoye, his wife and their son were killed and burnt to death on New Year’s eve in the Ibara area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The police spokesperson, Oyeyemi Bola, said in a statement on Thursday, February 9, that all the suspects involved in the killing of the Fatinoye family have been arrested. He added that an update on the arrest of the suspects will be made available to the public soon.
The motive for the crime is yet to be ascertained. However, the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
The news of the arrest of the suspects comes days after a tragic accident at the Sagamu-Benin expressway left seven people dead. The victims were burnt alive in a motor accident some few metres away from Odogbolu junction.
The Ogun State Police Command has urged members of the public to come forward with any information that could help in the investigation of the murder of the Fatinoye family.

The police also called on citizens to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity in their vicinity to the police.
