INEC Chairman tells Nigerians, Federal Executive Council and Buhari how & when 2023 elections will be
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Generation has announced the commencement of their grassroots ‘mop up campaign’ ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The campaign, which is part of the Operation Rescue Nigeria 2.0 Project, is aimed at ensuring that the Atiku/Okowa presidential ticket of their party is successful in the upcoming elections.
The youths, who are determined to see a change in Nigeria’s fortunes, have promised to go door-to-door in their campaign.
This comes as the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, has assured Nigerians that the 2023 general election will be held as planned.
Yakubu made this known while briefing the Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, February 8. The INEC chairman had also met with the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno and the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele on Tuesday, February 7.
