Olagunsoye Oyinlola Denies Plan to Sue IGP Over MTN Nigeria’s Role in His Removal

It is clear that Oyinlola has no intention to pursue legal action against the IGP, and has instead moved on from the matter.
Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the former governor of Osun state, has refuted claims that he was intending to take legal action against the Inspector General of Police (IGP) over the latter’s refusal to publish information regarding the role of MTN Nigeria in his removal from office.
The PDP chieftain stated that he has since moved on from the issue that occurred 10 years ago, and has no plans to revisit the case.
Tribune reported that Oyinlola emphasized that he has not endorsed or approved any statement or document related to the matter. He then urged the public to disregard the report about his potential lawsuit against the IGP, calling it fake news.
Oyinlola is a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the former national secretary of the party. He was elected governor of Osun state for two terms, in 2003 and 2007, but his re-election was nullified in November 2010. During the hearing that led to his removal, it was alleged that a recording of communication between the judge and some opposition lawyers was strong evidence that his nullification should not have had any ground.
Legit.ng previously reported that Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, who was recently suspended from the PDP, has spoken up on why he supports the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Nnamani stated that the PDP did not respect its own constitution that recognizes the rotation of key positions between the south and the north in the party. He also praised Tinubu for his great administrative skills.
It is clear that Oyinlola has no intention to pursue legal action against the IGP, and has instead moved on from the matter.
