2023 Election Is Not For Unhealthy Candidates — Primate Ayodele Warns Nigerians

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has urged those who are not in good health to drop out of the 2023 presidential election. He believes that running for office requires a great deal of fitness and is not suitable for those who are unwell.

He also expressed his disapproval of the current candidates’ campaigns, as they are not addressing the major issues that Nigeria is facing such as economic issues, insecurity, and education problems. Primate Ayodele fears that the country may remain in its current state if the issues are not adequately addressed.

He said,

“Presidential candidates are only looking for votes, they have not addressed issues, they are saying they can do all which isn’t possible.

They are not really discussing issues; we are facing insecurity, economic, education problems, they have not explained how they will tackle this.”

He also advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to take the election seriously and to ensure that it is credible by utilizing the Ballot Verification Automation System (BVAS).

Additionally, Primate Ayodele predicted that a prominent person among the governors, senators and House of Representatives members that will be elected will die and thus advised those who are unhealthy to pull out of the elections in order to take care of their health.
