Rapper Wale recently announced the passing of his grandfather, aged 103, on his social media.
In an Instagram post, Wale expressed his sorrow, while also encouraging his followers to cherish their family. Along with the post, he shared a snippet of The Source’s recap of his 2014 Revolt TV documentary, Wale: I Am From (Mo Wa Lati).
The documentary follows Wale as he returns to his native village in Ondo State, Nigeria, where he meets his father and hears stories about his grandfather’s influence on their music.
