My Wife Felt Discouraged When I Wasn’t Making A Dine From Acting — Chief Imo

Chief Imo, the Nigerian comic actor and singer who is popularly known as Longinus Anokwute, recently discussed his life journey. He recalled the difficult times he faced when he first started out in the acting world, saying, “At one point, my wife was discouraged because of how things were for me.” Chief Imo, who began his acting career in the mid-2000s, is now known for his original comedy in the Igbo language that entertains moviegoers in the eastern part of Nigeria.

He explained how he got his start, saying, “Everything started when I was in elementary school and extended to secondary school. Each time I come out to talk, people would laugh at me. On many occasions, I would end up cracking jokes to a large audience while responding to a question. Gradually, I started building my acting career.”

To mark his success, Chief Imo recently released his latest comedy-packed movie, “Village Councillor,” which tells the story of a young born-again man in a rural area who desires to be a leader. He struggles to make his people understand the corrupt nature of politics, while his mother encourages him to take advantage of the wealth-making opportunity.

Chief Imo has also released a new song, “Good News,” which is a reminder of all the obstacles he faced when he was first starting out in the entertainment industry. Despite his success, he is still determined to continue his journey.
