“Stop wasting your money”: Nigerian Man shows How to use Aluminum for Parapet (VIDEO)

A Nigerian man caused a stir online when he posted a video of a house whose parapet was made out of aluminum sheets instead of being cast.

In the clip, @goslam1 advised viewers not to waste their money on the common parapet type. Many TikTokers condemned the man’s method, arguing that aluminum sheets are not secure.

The video has since garnered over 300 comments and 5,000 likes, with many people disagreeing with the man.

Commenters argued that parapets are meant to provide security against entrance through the roof and that it is worth spending more money on sturdy parapets.

Others shared stories of how they spent thousands of naira on their parapets and that it was worth it.

One user said, “It can never be like the real parapet.” Another said, “The importance of parapet isn’t for beauty, but to block the easy access to the roof from outside.”
